Earworm of the Day: "Living on a Prayer"

Sometimes I worry I will forget to breathe.

anyone here actually read ebooks?

i run a lit mag and i'm trying to determine if it's worth the significant extra effort to put epub & kindle out there.

they barely sell. i do much better with the print editions. i'm just not sure if the audience is small but loyal, or if digital feels like a bonus addon that people take but never actually read.

please give me your insights!!! i need perspective outside my own. :)

boost too, if you'd be so kind.

I'm having a conversation with an AI bot about AI.

Earworm of the Day: London Calling (the Clash)

I'm a staunch supporter of the Oxford comma.

Crows freak me out. They seem so sinister and menacing. I probably need a pet crow but they scare me.

I love hearing the frogs outside on a summer night.

Dinner tonight is probably going to be a mango again. Or water?

I've missed you guys.

And when I say "you guys" please know it's a product of my California upbringing. It's what we say for the plural of "you". I don't mean it to exclude anyone who identifies as female. When I lived in Pittsburgh people said "yinz".

Dinner was a mango again. This is getting to be a thing, at least until I run out of mangoes.

To trans Americans: you are valued. You are respected. You are recognized. You are loved. We will fight for you. We should have fought harder before and we should have fought in different, wider, bigger arenas than just the military and bathrooms. It's well overdue that cisqueer America earned using that letter we throw around when we talk about LGBT rights.

Tell us how and where. We will show up. You can't fight this fight alone. We will be your soldiers.

Americans eat an average of 35 pounds of cheese every year. The question is: who is eating my share, since I don't eat cheese?

Watching all these crime shows (CSI:Miami; NCIS) has made me REALLY GOOD at spotting the bad guy. I'm totally putting that on my resume.
