Can anyone recommend a good text editor that's macOS compatible, good with Python and isn't Atom? :D
@Takanu Spacemacs is a great way to get into Emacs. If you want something visual, I hear vscode is really nice now. Xi is promising but immature.

I'll pass on Spacemacs as I much prefer visual interfaces (although for those into it, the app looks like a pretty cool thing to have). I'll check out the other two though 👍
