So if one was, hypothetically, to play Skyrim – any mods that person should, hypothetically, install right away? Any other hypothetical hints?

@rixx If you can get it running, if there's a port, SkyUI. The inventory without it it a MESS.

But I'd advice completely against Skyrim. Have wasted too much time there, always thinking: "well, this has to get good SOMEWHERE, doesn't it...?" It just never did.

@TQ I already have the game, and I recently played some Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and was reminded of how much I like open world games, and that it's been a decade since I played any. Skyrim seems like the obvious choice, and I won't invest in DLC for now, so it's free for me ;)

@rixx Okay. Hope you like it - I was put off all the time buy the ugly character design, the messy inventory and the crudely constructed lore. Didn't enjoy it at all - would choose Dragon Age over it any time!

@TQ I'm not a gamer at all, but as a kid I played ridiculous amounts of Divine Divinity (oh god I still love that game to pieces), and Sacred (similar, but not nearly as good). And Skyrim seems like Divine Divinity in 3D. Could never play it due to lack of hardware/funds, but since my roomie is busy with his new Switch, I can use his gaming laptop <3

@TQ
I think playing until 3am counts as fun. (Alarm goes off at seven, of course..)

@rixx Did this too from time to time, to "get to the point of that game"... Ah, well, guess I'm just not the right person to talk to about Skyrim. 😉
