what about the issue one cannnot delete its account on mastodon?
If someone decide to leave the network, he will be upset maybe and warn other ppl to join our campaign.

True... I've got a short article (german) about the limitations of Mastodon in the pipeline... Perhaps I'll finish that one first and we add a link there?
