I'm not sure if the wider federation with Mastodon (or other instances) is finished yet (I'm no expert on how these things work but from what I've read many times on here things get complicated because the main ActivityPub or whatever it used for this lacks documentation), but I did manage to sign on to pixlelfed.social and make a post, I will test here if it embeds/links correctly..

I'm also super excited about it. Although I'm not an artist or would post meaningful stuff I am so thrilled about the possibilities that different networks can interact with each other. Like PeerTube.
That's how "social media" should be like.
