@batko I mean beneficiaries are used as a political pawn already to their disadvantage. UBI would be similarly abused by the political class. If you accept a gift that you need from them you become theirs. The socialist needs to be committed to providing the basic necessities to the working class via the facilitation of mutual aid.

@DecoyChuckwalla @u2764 there should definitely be a real world non profit, the admins and mod selection is interesting. I'm not interested in people voting for someone to make decisions but you do need people to carry out the decisions of the group. I would say they could be appointed by lot but that wouldn't be practical given you wouldn't get the best people. Perhaps the admin is elected and then they decide on and manage volunteers as their only role.

@NthTensor I guess that's fair enough. However I worry about any environment that allows the far-right to organise. It's the nature of this beast that they will come and do that though, all we can do is push them away from ourselves and fight against them radicalising people.

I'm learning French because I'm going to move to Canada due to the unstable geography of New Zealand and Canada seeming like an okay alternative.
