I have started to see a few conservatives on mastodon. I also know of a at least one dedicated far right wing instance.

@NthTensor I guess that's fair enough. However I worry about any environment that allows the far-right to organise. It's the nature of this beast that they will come and do that though, all we can do is push them away from ourselves and fight against them radicalising people.

What many people (you and me included) love about mastodon is how insular the platform is currently.

However, I am sure that most people would also like to see mastodon grow and continue to be supported.

These two ideals are in total opposition. We can not be insular and grow. However, we can grow in a safe way. I would rather have conservative instances I can block, than less people on mastodon.
