I'm learning French because I'm going to move to Canada due to the unstable geography of New Zealand and Canada seeming like an okay alternative.
@Steel_Virgin I know but I had some backpacker friends from Québec who barely spoke English at all so I figure it can't hurt to be bilingual. And it means I can do something to prepare other than save $$$
@Sweet_Tango_Chill Unstable geography - you mean earthquakes? Aren't there regions in NZ where they don't really occur?
Canada, NZ and Scandinavia all seem like good choices. But Canada is an oil-addicted country, and all in all NZ seems to be a more progressive one.
