@tats OMG!!! I am so excited to get to make recommendations. Do you have any dietary restrictions?
@tats Pastrami ruben sandwiches at Katz's; smoked white fish salad on a bagel at Zabar's; Ukrainian comfort food (pierogis and borscht specifically) at Veselka; durian ice cream at Chinatown Ice Cream Factory; fried chicken and eggnog waffles at Melba's; soup dumplings, lion's head meatballs, and black pepper crispy skin duck at Joe's Shanghai; donuts from Dunwell (they're vegan, but you'd never know it); pizza at Franny's; fried fish at LoLo's Seafood Shack
@tats And that's all I can think of off of the top of my head, but I am sure more will come to me.
@SuzanEraslan *scribbles frantically* aaa thank you!
@SuzanEraslan (I was going to list the food I really wanted to eat off your list, then realized I was basically retooting you)
@tats Yaaay!!! But really, which ones in particular? 😁 (Oh, I also just remembered another one: the frogs legs at La Grenouille are amazing, unlike any I've had anywhere else-- a huge plate full of tiny legs, with super tender meat, swimming in butter and a touch of garlic. The cheese soufflé is also good, if you have a guest with you.)
@SuzanEraslan Oh, that sounds amazing! My partner and I like French food for date night (cheesy, I know, but we didn't plan it- X-Men/superhero movies also figure prominently,) so this is perfect.
@SuzanEraslan I'm already craving the smoked white fish you mentioned! We don't have a lot of Jewish food around here that I know of, but I love local smoked fish, so this is top of my list! I also really like chicken and waffles, because um chicken and waffles. And black pepper crispy skin duck. And donuts that I will pretend are good for me. And (CONFESSION OF THE DAY) I don't really like pizza, but I'm willing to try this one! Also the fried fish because I want to see how this is different.
@SuzanEraslan nope!!! Give me all the noms, don't hold back!
