Celebrating the Easter season by reading (or in this case listening) to yet another book on Jesus, this time Reza Aslan's Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. I loved his No god but God, and I'm so far loving this one, too.
I am no longer religious like I was as a child (and I was fervently, much to the embarrassment of my American Methodist mother and Turkish Muslim father), but I still find religion fascinating-- which is probably what brought me to love theatre so much. It's all just getting people together in a single space to engage in some kind of ritual together.
