Everybody follow @GottaLaff.

She's one of my favorite people.

You know what I'm saying.

Exactly.

I need another screen!

I have three large screens on my desk, one is currently showing Mastodon, one is showing Tweetdeck, and one is Facebook split between my personal page and the Stonekettle Station group page.

I'm literally looking at the interactions of more than a quarter million people in realtime.

And I'm casting news to the big screen on my office wall.

All of this takes a quad-core 64GB MSI gaming computer to run

It occurs to me that I might have a problem

I'm not sure I yet understand the difference between "local" and "federated" timelines.

At the moment, there are so few people here, Mastodon is like my own personal Twitter.

You know, doesn't it seem like the disaster in Puerto Rico would be the perfect opportunity for this so-called president to make at least part of America "great again?"

New infrastructure. Efficient, robust, sustainable energy grid, transportation, and communications systems. Etc.

Done right, Puerto Rico could not only recover, but become a model for the world.

Americans who today think patriotism means unquestioning obedience to a flag...

...would have, 240 years ago, thought the same about a King

Rutger Hauer, Hobo with a Shotgun

Steve Bannon.

I'm just saying, the resemblance is uncanny.
