@Mainebot I used to work in collections too, years ago, for a few hospitals. Last one I worked for was a psych hospital, and these patients were druggies, seriously depressed, and would rack up bills over $100K. And because health insurance didn't usually cover mental, it was almost always cash. It was the toughest job I had.

@stalememes Unless of course, the item is over $30.00 and it has a tiny magnetic strip inside. There's a Walmart about 25 miles away, and it's so easy to shoplift there. I've watched customers set off alarms, and none of the employees GAF.

So today, I drilled a hole through the wheel well of my RV, so that I could run a propane hose from an outside tank into my rig, and connect it to a portable heater. The wheel well is aluminum. I lined the hole with a rubber grommet. I considered @MightyBigCar 's advice to just open a window screen slightly to let the hose out, but doing this use up a lot of hose length in going up the window and down the other side. The set up I did here gives more use of hose length.

@jannamark It's does sound like Antelope Valley, but it's Imperial Valley, and doesn't often blow this cold here.

Winds are blowing pretty hard out here in the Southern California desert. My RV is rocking and rolling, shits blowing around, and temps are supposed to drop into the mid-30s F (1-2 C) tonight. I have a portable propane heater, but I don't have a way to connect it to an external tank without running it out the door. So I'm looking at drilling a hole through a wall and running the hose through it to the outside.

@Jadyjah Vaccinations this year are only 33% effective I'm told, namely because the particular strain of flu that's hitting the hardest was not included in the vaccine supply. It's really tough to figure out/predict which vaccines to produce.

So, turns out the marijuana business that contacted me 12 days ago for WebDev work had no intention of hiring me. They just wanted to hear what my prices were and how much work I'd do just to see if they're getting a good deal with their existing WebDev outfit. Sucks, because I try to be honest, fair and timely, and I get taken advantage of. Such is the life of an introvert web geek.
