Making the most of the quiet moments is the way to go this week. I'll get burned out otherwise.🙂

The news about the Amtrak derailment has really affected me, even though I'm across the pond in England. Maybe it's because I come from a family with links to the railways. Still, my heart goes out to anyone affected by it.

That being said, I can now enjoy these in peace and quiet, knowing I've earned them! 😋

Sundays are supposed to be quiet, lazy days, aren't they? Only I've just spent the day cleaning the house thoroughly in time for the festive season.

At least the evening should be nice and restful. *firmly crosses fingers*🤞🏻

I'm happy to be back at home, munching fruit pastilles and looking to have a quieter afternoon.

Back from the busy supermarkets and ready for a sit down! It seems to be an odd trade-off: go early, and have half the shoppers but they're all incredibly dozy and distracted, or go later when it's completely full and the shoppers know what they're looking for but you can't budge anyway.

*sigh* I'm glad I went early.

For the first time in ages, I don't have a book to read.

Largely because I'm waiting to see if my family get me any books for Christmas.

It's an odd feeling.🤔

Tis Friday, and I finally get a break!

Lots of stuff still to do, but it can wait for a bit.🙂

All the snow has gone now. In its place is the usual grey and dreary December weather we're used to in this part of the UK.

At least it's a bit warmer.🙂

Again, my sister has ordered something to be delivered to my house - without even asking me. Now I'll be waiting in for her deliveries, and she doesn't even live in the same town.

When it's this close to Christmas, and she doesn't have any other info than it'll be sometime in the next few days... I'm so ticked off.
