I'm Starling, a (late) 30-something introvert, bookworm and nature lover from England. I go to great lengths to avoid conflict, although I can be somewhat freer online, and I always seem to be humming something. I'm not into music, though. I've also started dabbling in #photography and #drawing.

My #Interests include #books #reading #fantasy #scifi #nature #birds #food and #cooking.

I'm glad it's the weekend soon, and I'm in need of a break. This week has been really stressful.

Just stepped outside for a moment and discovered two things:

1/ It's still cold.

2/ There are bees around! I'm so glad to be seeing them flitting about again. Hearing that gentle humming is lovely! 🐝 🐝

I thought it was supposed to be spring? Nothing but misty drizzle today.

I can't wait til the weather warms up again.

Without wanting to tempt fate, the internet has been behaving itself for a while...

So hello again! Hopefully I'll be about for a bit longer this time.👋🏻

Spoke too soon! There may still be a few internet problems yet. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I think my body is gradually getting used to the clock change. Having an hour less in bed has really messed up my system, as usual.

Still tired, but the arrival of Dad with a box of little cakes has made things a bit better.🙂

Time certainly is flying by. I can't believe it's the Boat Race this afternoon, and the clocks go forward later tonight.

That means another mad chase around the house looking for all the clocks, watches and anything that needs the time updating. I bet there'l be at least one I miss - there always is!

Busy morning, out doing some shopping and now I'm looking at having a quiet afternoon.

It's a shame the weather isn't better, else I could get out in the garden and see what needs clearing up after winter.

Oh, heck, I missed the celebrity* bake-off this week. I'll have to catch up with that.

* Your mileage may vary as to whether these are celebrities or not.🤣

Made it to the weekend. Really want to get a lie-in at some point, too.

As for this evening, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I might catch up with some missed tv and relax with a bit of chocolate.🍫

Thank goodness it's Friday! I know it's a tired old cliche but it's been a long week.😩

A long day, started with the best of intentions and finished with a weary sigh. Here's to a better day tomorrow!
