@feld Funny you should mention this. My personal Google Drive backs up my school work folder. And then I copy it to my school-related Drive account. And then I back it up to an external hard drive. And then I back it up to a jump drive. Little bit afraid of losing assignments.

My nap went longer than I intended. Okay. I'm up now. Time to eat and then work on the outline and oral argument.

@craigmaloney Mom, you're just jealous...

*Yes, I know it's a different song. It's the first one I think of, though. Ahhhh! High school days!

@DaveHiggins I came to law school a little later than most of my classmates. I'm the oldest in my class. I'll be 50 years old when I finish this J.D. I'm counting on some of my life experience to help in life after law school. I will substitute my knowledge of what to do when the shit hits the fan for clerking in a firm over the summer. Plus, I still have to work my day job.

I'm going to read fiction! Do all the home maintenance and repairs I've been putting off! And visit family! And SLEEP!

A tortious interference with contractual relations case from the 1853 Queen's Bench. @DaveHiggins What was that you said about my country only having a few centuries of law? We're studying your country's law as well!

@DaveHiggins I am so looking forward to the end of this semester. I briefly toyed with the idea of summer classes, but no. I ain't doin' it.

The majority of people in my life do not understand just how consuming law school is. I can't do much at the last minute. I can't just stop what I'm doing. If it's due Tuesday, I can't wait until Tuesday to work on it. I can't speed read or skim.

@DaveHiggins That wasn't his argument. Those were the charges against us. The rest of this semester is the trial.

I will do my best to get an A, just like I did last semester.

@susannah Thanks. We were all pretty low afterwards. I'm sure I can put it in perspective after I get some rest.

Last night was not fun. Torts prof chewed us out. We aren't working hard enough. We aren't studying enough. We aren't reading the cases deeply enough. We aren't reviewing enough.

"I know you're tired, but..." and "It's only going to get more difficult from here on out."

I knew part-time law school while working full-time would be difficult. Dut damn! There's nothing like a demoralizing speech at the end of a tough week.

@DaveHiggins I do hope that I win "Mr. Grifo's" case even though he's fictional. ๐Ÿ˜€

@DaveHiggins It's possible. I will be giving my first oral argument in April. Of course it will only count for a grade and Moot Court competition. We'll see how it goes.

@DaveHiggins One of my classmates is afraid to say usufruct in class. She's worried about skipping the "r".

I encountered "fungible" in Obligations class. My mouth likes the shape of it. I am unfamiliar with "outsucken multure". To the Google!

Naked owner and usufructuary!

I'm enjoying this section of property law. Besides, usufruct is a fun word to say ๐Ÿ˜€

I finally read the "About this instance" on the side of my screen. I love that I chose the right place without realizing that I chose the right place ๐Ÿ™‚

Coffee and rain on the roof.

I have no cable television in my home. I did a couple years ago, but too little value for so much $$$ ended it. I've had an amplified antenna, an OTA DVR, and a couple streaming services for over 2 years now. After a brief adjustment period, I've found it meets my needs.

It frustrates me to hear cable described as "traditional" tv. Um, no. That'd be an OTA broadcast received by an antenna. And I'm ecstatic that the experience has vastly improved from the first 18 years of my life.

@DaveHiggins Just a couple weeks ago I read a La. Supreme Court property case that broke with over 100 years of rulings. The lone dissenting justice was incensed.
