The act of placing one foot in front of another is difficult now. That whole using up all my spoons metaphor really kicked in today. It was an easy day. My area of surgery feels achy, too. A new day will follow, and I'll keep myself calm as I can. Oh, hope, you are a boon and danger both.
@stillinhere Hope is the thing that makes us start down the path. Without it we would never begin and I suppose thus never know we were overly hopeful about that path. Some days hope is the only thing that keeps me moving - even if it's just the hope that whatever I'm dealing with will be over soon. Congrats on getting back into it today.
@SleepytimeLisa I wrote elsewhere that I am glad I couldn't see my future when I was younger. I might put up a good pessimistic facade sometimes, but truly I am optimistic. Saying that, when I do get my hopes dashed, I still have problems coping with it, sometimes. Thanks, by the way.
