@Siphonay sure its one issue down but theres still many problems it has imo. the icons arent very good at being descriptive, certain functions are behind certain icons you wouldnt be expect them to be behind, a lot of the way the functions work are frankly weird and not like any other program handles them
@puppy idk... I'm not very critical of it because it's the only image editing software I'm comfortable with... I generally avoid pirating software

thats fair. paint net is a lot simpler in its ui which is what i like about it. it doesnt throw literally everything at you in one go

@Siphonay I think GIMP is confusing to me because I'm used to the super simplistic controls of mspaint and what they do. So it's really less the UI is "bad" to me, and more that the concepts in real graphical manipulation are foreign to me, no matter what form they take.
