@Siphonay
"sapiosexuality" doesn't exist, your preferences about the personnality of your partners are not a sexual orientation
@Siphonay If someone established "gaudesexual" as the term to describe someone who prefers cheerful partners, it'd still exist.
@redacted see my last toot
correct me if I'm wrong but sexual orientations only concern the gender and/or sex of partners, don't they?
@Siphonay Potential partners too ;)
@Siphonay To be honest there's no shame in being open about it.
It can save hurt feelings later when you find out someone is of an incompatible orientation before getting rejected. Which hurts.
It's the who/what you can be attracted to, @Siphonay
"Sapiosexuality" may or may not be a sexual orientation - but it *is* a useful shortcut to say "I think brains are super *hawt*!"
I do love some well-developed frontal lobes. Hubba hubba!
@Siphonay I tend to think of 'sexual orientation' as just a very specific, if common, fetish for specific kinds of genitals. As such I'm willing to accept any honest-to-god kink as a sexual orientation...but 'personality trait as kink' seems unlikely to be COMMON.
@Siphonay No, they're preferences about about the personality of partners, which is what the term describes.
