@aeonofdiscord nah. And I see US videos where they take France's train system as a model of quality. LOL FUCK NO, trains are fucking expensive here and very oftenly late or cancelled for no reason.

If they think it is good, I can't begin to imagine how bad trains in the US must be

@aeonofdiscord @Siphonay there are nearly no trains in the US, except for the DC to Boston corridor. There is a once a day route along the rest of the east coast, and a similar one along the Mississippi River. A few routes I am missing. A train between Columbia SC and Miami or DC is about $150, one way. Passenger trains share tracks with freight trains and are often delayed waiting for them to pass.

@Siphonay @aeonofdiscord you can go on the Amtrak website to try booking a trip to see routes and prices. That won't tell you about the delays, though.

The trains themselves are quite comfortable, I'd much rather take the train to Miami then to drive. But the schedules and routes are atrocious.

@Siphonay Je suis parti voir en gare sur un automate de la SNCF, le Rennes-Paris, il est entre 60 et 80€ pour un départ mardi en seconde classe. 136€, c'est plutôt le prix d'un aller-retour.
