most custom ROMs are more trouble than they're worth also in a lot of cases I find x-x
@avie They always are when new tech comes out-- until they find ways around it. Check back every couple of months to see how the progress is coming along, you might get lucky

low to mid end users are generally shit out of luck
@avie @mawr even for high end phones custom ROMs are an unstable mess with missing features, security holes, and supported by a group of 17 years old with huge egos. I've built and supported multiple custom ROMs myself and I don't want to bother fucking around with an important device I use daily for all of this
@avie @mawr like, it's certainly fun to experiment with but wow the time and effort it requires is not worth it, especially as Android and its flavors are a bit less restrictive than they used to personalization wise
