It's literally been downloading updates for a whole full 24-hour day. I have fibre. This is not a low end pc. Wtf Windows 10
I just realized it would take less time to reinstall Windows 10 but at this point I'm just going to remove Windows from this computer

@Siphonay to do that big of a version update, I'd normally recommend downloading the latest Windows 10 iso/usb and then doing an upgrade install using that. Should be much faster.
Of course if you're just gonna put Linux on it there's no point.

I now plan for 1-2 days (from the day the hardware arrives on site) to provide a new Win10 PC to endusers at work and I've had to install three recently.
(this is not my choice, since 10 years ago I'd rather use Linux but European healthcare is still seen as too much of a "niche market" for developers to write software for (including *important* things like printer drivers) alas, the UI on much software isn't as easy to use for non techies as Microsoft..
