I want to reply to someone's toot. They're not on my instance, so I can't see their personal timeline while I'm logged in, even though I'm following them. HowTF do I do this???
@eskay8 If you get tooted at, you see them as a notification, if you´ve followed that person, you get to see it on your local timeline or notification, if you´ve activated the federal timeline, you may see them there from time to time. Otherwise, no real way to do that, sorry.
@Richard_ermen I'm following them (I think? The little icon is blue), but I can't see their toots in my home TL or if I click their profile.
@eskay8 Are you using a mobile app or the desktop version?
@eskay8 That´s strange. I´m following people from differing instances and can see when they post general updates. Maybe a problem with the instance in question? I´ve to assume you´ve reloaded the desktop page several times already, yes?
