Can I somehow toot only to the local timeline, but not the federated one?
Hey! If you are experiencing that the timelines are out of sync you are NOT GOING CRAZY.
There's currently a backlog of just under 15000, last night it was 190000.
It's getting better! But until then your timelines will be a bit weird.
The processing is being improved as we are speaking!

If you have the URL for a toot on another instance you can add it to the search bar on your home instance (above the compose field) to get your local interactions (boost, reply etc.)

Excited for this mastodon thing. I like the separation of different servers while still being connected to other servers. It's a cool concept.
