Can anybody tell me, are the OS holy wars still being waged? I've been hearing MS vs Linux Vs Mac rumblings that I haven't heard for a decade. If they are coming back, is it the old guard reliving the battles of their youth? Is it a new generation who's never learned the that these wars are futile?

These wars aren't futile. You just have to stand by your guns when you believe in your system.
@RaySir I think it's pointless these days but I have zero platform loyalty anyway. For me, macOS is Unix with a pretty face and decent application support so it's the best of both worlds. I'm 100% Windows at work and Linux in my hobbies.
