@Snargle They really are. So I take it you're into photography as well? My profile pic is a shot I got of a snow leopard at Brookfield Zoo.
@RattusInsanus I dabble in photography, mostly nature stuff. Birds, critters, flowers, landscapes, etc. Sometimes I just go out with my eyes and a pair of binoculars and look at stuff. That can be liberating after too much screen time.
@Snargle I do the same. Bought myself a really nice set of Vortex binoculars that are great with observing stuff.
@RattusInsanus Vortex makes surprisingly good optics.
@Snargle yep! These weren't cheap but they weren't as expensive as Swarovski binoculars. Got them on Amazon for like $300-400 I think.
@Snargle Oh yeah! My sister has Swarovski binoculars. These Vortex I have are really great for grabbing light in low light situations though. I'd love to see more of your pics.

@RattusInsanus I had a chance to look at some birds last week through a high-end Swarovski spotting scope. It was a religious experience! I'll never own one, but I can covet the hell out of one!
