@gargron - I have been looking at the Lists feature and the "Move to a different account" feature (it is also named redirect and migration further in the UI) and I feel they are useful, but not quite getting how they work.
Are there posts anywhere or docs that explain a bit more what they do; or will there be some forthcoming?
I now wonder about just keeping accounts on more populated instances to "peek in" on their local timelines; finding interesting people. Then following those on my "primary" instance of choice. Otherwise, how would you find some of these people without scouting ahead?
I am starting to wonder about having more than one account. It seems many of the tech people I follow are either into gaming or open to it. All the gaming people are into technology or open to it. The introduction of Lists in 2.1.0 is something I want to explore.
Considering consolidating to one #mastodon instance. Opinions?

Happy International Working Women's Day!
Don't let the bourgeoisie fool you with their "clever" omission of the word 'working.' Today is a socialist holiday, honoring the struggles of working class women for well over 100 years. It was only adopted by the capitalist West in the '70s. They needed a bone to throw to the increasingly powerful feminist movements of that decade.
Women have always been central to the Revolutionary vanguard. Most notably, 101 years ago today on March 8th 1917. Russian women, enraged by the senselessness of bread rationing and world war, rallied the factory workers of St. Petersburg. They shut down the city. They faced down the army. They persisted through brutal attempts at repression. In eight days, they broke a dynasty that had ruled Russia for 300 years.
Fight on, comrades. https://soc.ialis.me/media/awQT-OsDNmBUjkspnu8
St. Vincent is getting some airplay lately, but let's take the wayback machine to 2014 at the Pitchfork Festival in Paris for some live guitar licks.

Thinking about #persistentwebapps some more.
Another issue is going to be how to have the community not only work with bug reporting apps, but also WHO to report to?
Is it a browser problem (#firefox or #chrome)? A site problem? How to figure that out.
Any thoughts out there?
Insight for this evening: "web scale" only makes sense for centralized apps. If you write a federated app you just scale it horizontally, and things that are actually impossible to federate are really supercomputer workloads, not "web scale"
“There are two novels that can change a 14yo’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders an obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted adulthood. The other, of course, involves orcs."
So when did we get this "Lists" section here and how do we use it? Not mentioned in the user guide yet:
...and speaking of #progressivewebapps

Getting into trying out #progressivewebapps more. #mastodon turned me onto it once #FF started supporting PWA.
I had to reset my mobile browser's cache and offline website data, but now get push notifications. Yea!!
