@koogrie You're right, it doesn't. Might not even notice till the blood starts splashing. Then there is the part where I accidentally smack the scar from stitches against a sharp corner, 50 years later.
@Stonekettle @starbreaker Many of us followed you here as well.
@katvalentino Well, you are showing on my "local" platform and I'm apparently with octodon.social, according to the web-address at the top of the page.
@Stonekettle I just learned that my assumptoin was wrong, thanks to the "How-to" article someone listed. Local is only the people in your instance (like a Hogwarts House), federated is everyone.
looks like a bunch of new users are joining? let me recommend a great intro to mastodon, written by @GinnyMcQueen :)

Leaning that the difference between local and federated is more than just language.
I will spend time finding my way around, after a weekend in nature. Sustainable lifestyle to work on, means dirt needs moved!
@Stonekettle Coffee grounds are good for any sort of composting project. People in Melbourne use them on banana trees.
@Stonekettle It appears (on my feed) that local is only English language. Federated is not.
@Stonekettle And what a wonderful world it could become.
A new platform to learn my way around.
