@Migukin Twitter had a public timeline for a while until it got too popular.

Off to a gig tonight. On Twitter, I would feel compelled to say who and where. Here just feels so much more abstract - who cares what it is? I'm just doing a thing, and I like seeing the abstract references to the things you all are up to.

@oyasumi It took me a little bit of staring into the distance and scratching my head to start to get it. 30 seconds looking at the alternative instances to pick #octodon - loving it so far!

Question: Will mastodon.social not taking new registrations turn potential users off, or will it bring home the whole disaggregated nature of this thing?

This all has a brainstorming "no wrong answers" kind of vibe right now, doesn't it?
