Okay this is totally random, but I just thought of another reason why I love Get Out. In a lot of horror/thriller movies, the plot requires the victims to do something really dumb and put themselves in harm's way. But in Get Out, the entire premise of the movie is that Chris can't possibly know that his gf is part of an evil society that preys on black people, right? It really helps build tension as there's not really any obvious way for Chris to avoid the trap.

ALSO - this adds to the racial commentary, as the only "mistake" Chris makes is being black in a society that preys on black bodies and labor. He never has a chance.
I love this movie so much <3
