I'm about a third of the way through Tender is the Night. Am I going to stop hating all of these characters before the end or should I just abandon it now?

The only thing keeping me going is wondering how close it resembles reality: upon achieving a certain level of wealth and comfort, do people blatantly have to manufacture drama in their lives to keep it interesting?

@jdb nope, the characters are all generally awful. Lots of schadenfreude in the back half though, if that's your thing. The only reason I finished was because it's written by Fitzgerald, I honestly think "The Beautiful and the Damned" is a much better novel about the same subjects
