Also, how many people do you think will be able to use the federated timeline before it devolves into a delicious but unreadable spam chowder?
@NthTensor I currently look at it, but I doubt it will be as useable next week. In fact I doubt it will be good for anything other than a snapshot in time view next month.
@NthTensor it's going to get out of hand fast. One solution would be loading content above the scroll position, but I'm not sure that's possible.
@NthTensor i'm switching between local and federated, so i can find interesting accounts. so far mastodon has more people with the same interests as me than twitter
@archaicartist Thats self selection for you. Currently, only a certain kind of person is useing this service.
@NthTensor yep, i'm now discovering how some new social networks are the best. and people talk about bots being on here, but none of them are bad yet. pretty good community so far

Also, I am mostly using the federated timeline. It's awesome.
@slipstream Is that so? Interesting... That means that the number of people in the Fediverse is actually tied to network complexity...
@NthTensor #OnlyFederated Federated mode is honestly my favorite feature of this so far. It makes me feel like I can jump into any conversation that I'm interested in. Something that I never felt I could do on Twitter because there's no exposure of average people.
@NthTensor I've been watching the federated timeline and well it's already bordering on unreadable for the shear volume of toots.
@NthTensor off peak I look at the federated timeline but in the middle of the day there's just way too much going on
