Great it looks like we will be throwing away the backend of this app I wrote in python to rewrite it in node.
@archangelic I agree. The reason is the frontend dev (in another country) has released a new version of his code and has provided a skeleton for a nodejs backend. Boss decided it was a good idea.

@archangelic thank you ! My boss is now pestering me wanting me to get the backend up to date. But I am waiting on the other dev to give me the spec. It’s been a very frustrating 2 days
@NeuroWinter i don't like being language elitist, but is there a good reason for doing that? python is a pretty robust backend language...
