I haven't heard of that! That could be a great solution

I've just found out about mastodon.host. It seems like an interesting instance, but I don't want to start a whole new account to be able to view their local timeline to find new people to follow.
It would be cool to be able to dip in to another instances' local timeline as a discovery tool.
@gargron If you follow the Beta feedback, that has been a loud point of contention.
People feel
a) The terrible UI/UX keeps new people away, which is a good thing to some
b) the focus is shifting to "socializing" the site, akin to FB, and monetizing browsing behaviors
I doubt the people complaining will stop using the site.
I wonder if the fact that a lot of people use RES or 3rd party mobile apps will impact Reddit like Digg's changes did. Will they even notice?
@generica
I prefer Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin.
My issue with Ghostery is that they also run an ad network, and they try to get people to opt in to sending browsing info back to them. The UI is really nice, but it is hard to trust them imo
I do need to find some replacement keycaps for my #mechanicalkeyboard at work. I'm missing the backspace, return, and function cluster keys from the cap set I bought :/
I am still trying to figure out what sort of stuff I want to share on here... sometimes I think just going full stream of consciousness and letting whatever fly is the way to go
@emmykei oooooo! "Steal my Sunshine" is one of my faves. It reminds me of summer breaks in high school

@bvtsang That was always my issue with pruning follows on FB and twitter.
I have memories and personal interactions with people, and it felt really cold to think "you don't bring me value"

Has anyone done a mashup of Meatloaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love" and those Klondike commercials yet
@dickmandrake oooh! YT is blocked at work - which did they announce?
Also, are you going to any of the live shows?
Since my organization is very QuickBase dependant, I think I've found a way to build out a Gantt chart app and a kanban board for my team and link those to the larger department reporting.
Looks like I'll be learning how to customize QB now
@Personal_Asset guides or training for new players.
I found lots of good stuff on YouTube for overwatch but when I was tried to get in to HoTS a while ago I didn't find a lot of approachable stuff.
I am struggling to find a decent #projectmanagement system.
There are so many ad hoc processes at work and a ton of fire drills. I don't have a way to track the planned roadmap and capacity of my team, assign out quick tasks, and deprioritize existing work to free up time.
On top of that, since I am always in meeting requests sidestep me and my team does a lot of non-priority work because I can't be there to be a filter and there isn't a place to easily track it.
If anyone has suggestions...
@Personal_Asset Are there any good primers for HoTS? Overwatch and Hearthstone felt easy to pick up, but I always felt like I was fumbling through HoTS and didn't want to be a drain on my team.
