Ah, winter solstice. The *real* end and start to the year, where the darkness once again starts losing to the light. The day when dark and light are in perfect imbalance, the instant in the pendulum's swing when it hangs weightless. I'm about as mystical as a rock, but that doesn't mean there aren't times that have Meaning.

Happy Solstice, everyone.

I just went to an article on the Washington Post that had its URL wrapped in 4 shortened URLs before I got to the real URL.

One shortened URL is enough, people. Anything beyond that is just needless obfuscation. I already dislike shortened URLs because of the potential for them to easily lead to a malicious site when a full URL would make that obvious.

Honestly I probably could have skipped my whole "why I'm leaving Twitter" blog post and just posted this comic instead. (source: listen-tome.com/wasted-hours/) toot.cafe/media/APuvNvSDKV4yyu
