Now I just have to wait for SeaMonkey to catch up.

Regarding change in software: I tend to be sceptical because far too many times I've seen developers embrace change for the sake of change with no regard for how said change affects the users. Examples: systemd, Orbot.

I say if you're going to make major changes then

1. Think about how it will affect users
2. Come up with a plan and stick to it before & while writing code
3. Avoid feature creep by limiting the scope of change

This is how NASA writes software:

I want the software driving cars around my family to be held to the a similar standard of quality. In the context of self-driving cars, "Move fast and break things" means "Half-arse it and kill people."

Humans in the USA manage 1.16 fatalities per 100,000,000 miles travelled. Uber's software couldn't even get to 3 million miles before it killed someone.

We do this properly, or not at all.

'If you’ve ever worked with oppressed groups, such as people who are homeless, abused, addicted or suffering from mental health problems, there's one thing you learn straight away. They usually don't frame their worldviews in terms of academic theories students learn in gender studies classes in university...they tend to not analyse their experiences in terms of systemic power and privilege...'

Claws-mail's config files are stored in ~/.claws-mail, in various INI-style [item]rc files. The most important of those are clawsrc and accountrc. If you use its addressbook that's in XML files in ~/.claws-mail/addrbook.

How simple that would be to put into version control and whether or not it would be worth the effort is entirely up to you.

@craigmaloney
Well, there's plenty of other reasons why younger people don't want to own a car:

- More debt as well as maintenance & insurance costs when their income has remained stagnant
- Graduated licensing making it more difficult to get a driver's license
- Younger people tend to be more environmentally-conscious, unlike the Baby Boomers especially, & therefore support cleaner modes of transportation
- Also compared to Boomers, they're less steeped in car culture.

@ghost
I have a notepad for jotting down ideas, keep a paper journal, and like using paper maps. I'm considering going back to using my handheld GPS, though - the one with no maps but only waypoints, tracks, and a lat/lon grid, and definitely no driving directions. I can figure out how to get somewhere on my own, I don't need Google or anyone else to tell me how to do that.

So basically your dealership's decided to model themselves after a typical American commercial airline.

So what happens to the Bally/Williams tables that I already purchased years ago in the Pinball Arcade? Will they just disappear or will I still keep them?

Also that's the majority of the tables in the Pinball Arcade.

@catdad I haven't had cable or satellite since I moved here to Pennsylvania. I don't watch much TV and dealing with Comcast would be opening up Pandora's Box.

I dont understand why my gf insists on buy cable TV when we have the internet and an ota antenna. Its a waste of 40$ a month

I still play on my 3DS regularly. I was afraid Nintendo would neglect it after the Switch came out but thankfully that didn't happen.

Fron the "hamburger" menu in the top right select "Page >" then "Add Page Shortcut." You'll see an icon for it on your home screen.

Sysadmin work tends to be invisible and thankless - until something breaks.

Having been in their shoes most of my career, I try to resist the natural urge to get annoyed and complain when things break. Especially if it's rare and they get fixed quickly.

Don't judge work only by errors and mistakes - it's more fair to consider how well (or poorly) problems are handled.

Also consider: in Mastodon-land, often the admin work is a hobby. If it hobbies stop being fun, people find other hobbies...
