I try very hard not to believe in evil as a real pure literal thing. People are neither wholly good or wholly evil, we contain multitudes.

Repeatedly hearing how a majority of republicans in my country support ripping nursing infants from their mothers, into cages or internment camps because of some accident of nationality... .. challenges this.

It is clear we as a nation have failed, we have no collective sense of humanity left.
