This brought back memories of my parents calling me lazy whenever I didn't get grades they thought were goid enough, which was pretty much all the time starting in fifth grade. Calling me that didn't help, and they hnever looked into why I wasn't doing as well as I had been.
It's ironic that the word "laziness" is often used as a judgement by people who can't be bothered to ask why a person is doing what they're doing.

Also I wanted to touch on a sub-topic in that article about procrastination: Price touches on a problem that I certainly had and I suspect others have, too: that people aren't taught how to break down a large task such as writing a paper into smaller, more manageable tasks. In academia it's assumed that students know how to do this and so they're never really taught how to do it.
