At least when AIs gain sentience and enslave humanity they won't be serving corporate shareholders anymore.

@Myrkskog I mean, we'll have no freedom and thought will likely be outlawed but at least we won't be chasing capital and material possessions anymore.
And tbh they'll probably have better policies on the environment. You know, self-sustainability and all.
@brwarner Once the singularity achieved, it may or may not be a good thing for us, depending how the AIs see us.
All the aspects of our life could be controlled by the AIs (#Asimov) or we could even be extinct (for good or bad reasons, check the paperclip maximizer experiment for exemple) ..
But we could know a new form of freedom, as you say, without materialism race.
It's an interesting bet.
