@orbifx .md is preferable unless you're really going to deviate from the default syntax for some reason. Wouldn't really be markdown then. 😂
My impulse to secure my nickname feels kinda out of place in a distributed social network O.o
@erdal Yeah I noticed. Considering using Fluid — perhaps that will be a solution for my needs. Thanks!
@cdevroe You're most probably right. 🙂
@cdevroe Undergoing editing currently + it's in Polish, so I won't even bother posting the link, since few will be able to read it.
Re. Manton – he's currently busy building Micro.blog, but worth a try I guess.
@Webosoof Yeah that could prove troublesome, but it could work for the local timelines easily. I think. ☺️
@Webosoof Some 3rd party Twitter clients support Tweet Marker (Tweetbot uses iCloud Sync or Tweet Marker — the user can choose). You can read more about it here: http://tweetmarker.net
@Webosoof This is how it works in Tweetbot for Twitter:
Imagine that I start reading my timeline on my iPhone. I have 200 tweets left to read, but I get back home. I pick up my iPad, open Tweetbot on it, and my timeline automatically scrolls to the same point as where I left it on my iPhone. The same thing happens on my Mac in Tweetbot.
App.Net had this feature.
@Webosoof Currently using Amaroq, but it's not super great and has a large impact on battery life. Will need to take a look at some of the Android apps later on... Also, no macOS client. Yet, hopefully.
Wrote a piece on #Mastodon. Difficult to predict its future, but I am missing one basic function, which even ADN (App.Net) had: timeline sync.
I am also missing good iOS/Android clients, at least on par with Tweetbot.
Perhaps the huge influx of new users which accelerate things along nicely.
What are the benefits of #mastodon compared to #gnusocial?
@yzoja @demarca What about this one? Posting from web. The previous one was from the iOS client. https://octodon.social/media/FAKdLsZ4y52kkn0vP94
@Tamimitchell Amazing shots. And that's one big RV! Please post more — info and pictures. Such a fascinating way to live. ❤️
PS. Regarding my IG feed. If you go far enough back you'll find Rome, India, and other places.
