I have an old kindle that hasn't been powered on in the last 4 years. I feel bad about it. But I do all my reading on my iPad Mini 2. It's the perfect size and works seamlessly with my Dropbox account so that my entire library is available at any time. It just sits there as this sad and abandoned piece of technology. :(
@sonicbooming I feel bad for my kindle if I'm reading my nook, and vice versa....don't get me started on my collection of old cell phones....
@sonicbooming Right?!? I *know* it doesn't, but I react to it as if it did....which probably speaks more to my inability to break the habit of assigning emotional weight to inanimate objects...........

You could contact a women's shelter & see if they could use any of your old devices. Even some older phones don't need a SIM to call 911. Then you can hope they never get used again (if you catch my meaning).

@MissSnarkerson @browneyedgirl @erica I speak politely so as not to upset the PC/technology gods. I am wary of their wrath.
I have been known to curse, but I make a point to do so not at the device but the manufacturer. They cannot help the way they were designed.
