this depends on the version of Mastodon installed, though, because it's a fairly recent change
Arg arg arg arg! My sweetie forgot to update some clocks to DST, and now I'm running an hour late. Panic!!! Arg arg arg arg arg [repeat until exhausted or all deadlines have whooshed by]
Hi this is a great time to send your dollars and coins to @CobaltVelvet, who makes octodon work and keeps us all in line.

Why I'm going to quit my job and become a tarantula rancher, part 42955...
Hot shot dynamic dev manager: you should move across campus to be closer to my team.
Me (thinks): his team pays half my budget, so not unreasonable...
Me: ok
Me (looks at lab stuffed with stuff): sigh (starts packing, arranging movers, scheduling downtime, etc)
[2 days later]
HSDDM: interrupt priority work is data visualization. Get on it to exclusion of all else.
[2 weeks later]
HSDDM: why aren't you relocated yet?

For @Averly - it's not a big claw thing, just a small claw thing. But we burned it all up with out burning anything down. Success!
The adulting continues: made a false floor for the back of the car so doggos can relax in comfort. Installed slides on the workshop drawers. Put schtuff away (major bit of adultitude there - putting things away is not high on my list of life skills). Wet sanded the new countertop.
Alas, even with the heater going all day the shop didn't get warm enough to put the last coat of epoxy on the countertop.
It was a surprisingly responsible day. Time to get stoned and watch movies.
I have adulted so much today. Dropped off the recycles, got my head X-rayed (they didn't find anything), ate vegetarian, got a haircut, paid the bills. It's exhausting. Time for a nap, then go do something irresponsible with power tools.
I make stuff. Sometimes I post pictures of it.
I go places. Sometimes I post pictures of those places or the conveyances that take me there. This may include my feet.
I have a dog. Dogs seem to like me. Sometimes I post pictures of dogs.
I drink beer. Sometimes I post pictures of beer.
I like my work. Sometimes my coworkers are a trial and I rant about them.
I like humor. Sometimes I will attempt it. Occasionally that works.
I like the clientele here.
Found this book when visiting a friend who works at New Relic. It's on my must buy list

I think "facebook refugees" sounds weird, why don't we just embrace these people as new citizen of the fediverse
Currently at different #Fediverse #Mastodon admins' locations, while they're dealing with the additional load related to #DeleteFacebook:
Them: βbut whatβs your /real/ nameβ
Me: βWhat so you can summon me into your magic circle thus binding me to do your bidding? Nice tryβ
Attaque calin surprise de @Baffie ! π±
Today,
I decided to do a little exploring and hiked over the river and through the woods, making my way to a nice big lake.
I got to climb over some trees and trek over some snow, often wondering about the color of my nose. It was cold. But much needed and Iβm happy for pushing myself to just get out into the wild.

90 minutes till we arrive, and... How could I have unpacked all this stuff during the 39 hours on the train? And how the hell will it all fit back in the luggage? And how did it fit in there in the first place?
OK, herdmind (like a hivemind, but for mastodons): I need to do a web interface that far exceeds my previous server side generation of HTML <FORM></FORM> elements. Can someone recommend a good, open-source, Python friendly Web UI toolkit?
