@distel thanks - I've been reading it to try to restore my extremely rusty German. My vocabulary is better than I thought it would be, but my grammar needs work. Fortunately it is coming back, but there's a long long way to go before I'm confident of writing or speaking.

@skirts good luck! Even with the hearing protectors and anxiety meds, Mercalli still needs lots of snuggles & reassuring at fireworks times. He's been getting better about it, but there's along way to go.
@skirts these really help Mercalli. They don't block everything, but the reduction in sound levels helps his stress during fireworks and storms. A bit pricey, but maybe you can get them in time.
