@skirts these really help Mercalli. They don't block everything, but the reduction in sound levels helps his stress during fireworks and storms. A bit pricey, but maybe you can get them in time.

@skirts good luck! Even with the hearing protectors and anxiety meds, Mercalli still needs lots of snuggles & reassuring at fireworks times. He's been getting better about it, but there's along way to go.

Mercalli almost made it OK, but someone set off something really big about a mile away, and he wigged for about an hour.

she freaked out really bad and I had to hold her really tight the whole time! it was awful tbqh. gonna look into another plan for next year. thanks for being so supportive with this stuff!
