I have a second Facebook account to use on sites/apps which only allow FB logins, and this morning after logging into it for the first time in months to update the profile picture, I was locked out for "suspicious activity", and the only way to proceed and unlock the account was to provide a mobile phone number for a six digit code confirmation code to be sent to.
RT @firstname.lastname@example.org: Remember when they let the British public decide on the name of a boat? And the result was disregarded because they felt the public's decision was too silly to follow through on?
That was just the name of a boat.
"holy balls. this is incredible
the [libssh] vulnerability literally works like this:

server: "no. you need a password."
me: "hacker voice i'm in"
server: "login successful. you're in""
I feel like this article somewhat misses the point. https://www.theguardian.com/games/2018/oct/16/neon-corporate-dystopias-why-does-cyberpunk-refuse-move-on
You could also very easily ask "Why don't period dramas move on, stuck, as they are, with their olden day aesthetic" #cyberpunk

I don't have the money, or a place to keep/use it, but I want it. Maybe I can come up with an #EMFCamp #EMF2020 installation...
RT @Foone@twitter.com: Check out what I got today. You can tell it's something weird as fuck just from the box...
I did this a few years ago, and can recommend.
RT @email@example.com Tickets Alert: Behind the scenes tours of Tower Bridge
This winter, the behind the scenes tours of Tower Bridge return, offering access into the engineering spaces, and the huge bascule chambers under the main bridge.

I can't wait to see the LTDA members get their rage on about this ;-)
Note to self: when you run all of your browser traffic through a socks proxy, the browser extension which talks to a local service running on 127.0.0.1 will struggle to work until you add a proxy exception for localhost.
On the plus side, I've now got Joplin ( https://joplin.cozic.net ) fully up and running, and am confident that it'll be a good evernote replacement for me.
I guess I'm doing the "spending my money on kickstarter" thing again then... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tommy-maranges/inhuman-conditions-a-game-of-cops-and-robots?ref=dccbc2
Kudos to the RaidSonic customer service team over in Germany. Replied within a couple of hours to my "is it possible to get replacement system boards for my icy box enclosure" email.
Unfortunately for me, the answer, after providing the serial number, was "that’s from first generation and old. We can’t replace this PCB".
Fortunately for me, I have replacement capacitors, and voltage regulator IC in the post, so fingers crossed I can coax it back to life.
Spent the weekend tidying up the flat, and managed to clear off the dumping ground^W^Wbreakfast bar enough to do "a art"...
