@kensanata P.S. Mehrere Kollegen bestätugen: Raspberrys mit vielen Schreiboperationen sterben schnell.

@kensanata 14400 Logzeilen pro Tag mal 270 Tage reichen anscheinend ;-).

Seit 5 Tage schmeisst er auf der Console jetzt ext4-Fehlermeldungen

Little surprising fact of the day: It takes about 9 months to ruin a SD card by writing a MySQL DB with my home automation logs onto it :-(.

@encarsia Or "Mastodon: Asleep in the Deep (2015)"

Do participate in crowdfunding on platforms other than Kickstarter?

My experiences outside Kickstarter are bad. While projects I backed on Kickstarter delivered in about 80+% of all projects, with Indiegogo my success rate is terrible (<25%).

In the future I will probably only back projects that are on Kickstarter...

A technician in an office was servicing the monitor.

He spent five minutes searching for the plug. Only then he noticed it was an aerial root of the Monstera (office plant) he got his hand on...

@starbreaker Nothing wrong with some melodrama. If they ever do a biopic on you, it will keep the viewers awake ;-).

@starbreaker I came from the BBS scene to the Internet in 1991. If I were a person to carry grudges, I would need several 40t trucks to get from my desk to lunch ;-).

It is Googles product, so they can fuck it up. That's an universal principle.

I look at G+ and still see the potential. So I do my best to convince other (and Google) to do the same. I will fail with 99.99% certainty. But I still have to try ;-).

@starbreaker Probably, but there still may be a small chance...

A story Google should read very carefully in regard of G+. They are about to enter the same tailspin....

With news of Unroll.me selling user inbox info to Uber, lots of people are repeating "if you're not paying for it, you're the product."

I've said before, and will continue to say, that that is the wrong formulation. Sometimes you pay for it and you're still the product – look at US ISPs. Sometimes you don't pay for it and you're not the product – free software.

The real question is whether a software or service empowers users, which can't be boiled down to whether you paid.

Ernstgemeinte sachdienliche Hinweise gerne an mich. Merci beaucoup.

@cynix @encarsia @frari @beandev Zwei Sätze hätten es gereicht, so ist es sehr detailliert. Danke!

The smart chip on an ID card is too expensive? The solution is easy: print a photo of the chip instead of having a chip. Just like the U.S. senate does for his staffers:
