Well, it's not easy to store wine if you don't want to drink it in a couple of days. What I do, is to use it in a recipe.
For example, I don't know if you're veggie or not. But if you're not, you could try what we call "boeuf bourguignon" (aka Burgundy beef Stew.)
But just one thing: All recipes I saw in english don't tell you about the fact to let the beef with carrots and onions in the wine for a night. You'd better do it.
(or maybe you can try what you call "french wine sauce")
@MarianBk a friend had some silicone stoppers. 😊 But the entire reason I opened the bottle was for making a beef roast - sear the roast, pour over Worcestershire sauce and some red wine, a little butter, a little garlic, some fresh thyme, salt & pepper, then in the oven @ 350 for about an hour. 😋
