User-friendly isn't an objective state, it is entirely dependent on who your imagined user is.

@c25l it's an unfair set of expectations that people constantly reinforce inside their social universe, empowered by a larger community willing to aggressively punish people who don't stick to the script.

Anyways the point of all this is, evil aside, I would rather see a grossly over-wealthy company spend a fortune taking risks on hardware, overcoming prior failures and empowering disabled gamers over a grossly over-wealthy company hoard a fortune and utterly refuse to take a single risk.

How many FOSS communities have been characterized as disinterested, distant, and unwilling to help despite being filled with good, genuinely caring people?

Microsoft is the only market entity that actually takes risks on design for both hardware and software intended for a normal user.
