SixMoreVodka is an art studio that contracts out to everyone, and the people who wrote the book are not corporate. Both are very independent.
I don't mean this in a shitty way, but if you're competing with netflix, movies, video games, tv series, and a focused hunger for attention and time from every direction, making your offering as clear as possible, and enticing, is how you sell the hobby.
Or people can shit out another book about elves and sell it to WoTC.
Gorgeous design on the books, good art, a lovely website, and some sexy video trailers. I can't be sure, but I imagine some great typography too.
