Oh.
That whole thing.
Ok that makes sense yeah. I think that one's gonna be fresh for a while :/
@Mainebot IN AWARE IT ISN'T THE END, BUT THE FACT IT'S STARTED IS DISGUSTING.
I THINK I'M GOING TO WEEK MYSELF OFF OF BUYING LUXURY ITEMS FROM COMPANIES.
I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH THINGS. I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE I THINK TO THEM.
I NEED TO DO SOME LEARNING THOUGH.
That's a good start. It's possible to support a lot of small businesses and get by, but because the means of support necessary for a small business to survive are themselves owned by the mega-wealthy, it's difficult to not support the apparatus of control that exists.
Learning is always good, though.
@Mainebot I'LL MOST CERTAINLY LEARN HOW TO REPAIR THINGS AND MAKE STUFF LAST MUCH LONGER. REUSE. REPURPOSE.
@brokenfingers @Mainebot if the Williams-Sonoma catalogue is any indicator, rich people have no taste. It makes me sad, too. Why have kajillions of dollars if you won't buy nice things?!
@deathmlem @Mainebot CAUSE WHILE WE WERE GETTING TASTE, THEY STUDIED THE WAY OF THE WALLET.
THEY LIVE FOR MONEY.
No, I don't even think it's money anymore. Not at that level. It's just wealth. An abstract measure of financial power. Like, dollars are irrelevant.
@Mainebot @brokenfingers How boring.
@deathmlem @Mainebot MONEY PEOPLE ARE SUPER BORING.
@brokenfingers @Mainebot we should just steal their money. It's hard to steal pure numbers tho.
Stealing money is pointless. Destroying wealth is powerful.
@Mainebot @brokenfingers That's true.
FIRE UP THE GUILLOTINES
oh no wait actually let's make careful plans about collectivized lifestyle AND FIRE UP THE GUILLOTINES
@deathmlem @brokenfingers @Mainebot They buy governments. Aren't governments nice things? :V
@Angle @deathmlem @brokenfingers @Mainebot
A monopoly on the "legitimate" use of violence is ALWAYS a nice thing to have.
@Mainebot GENERAL ANNOYANCE AT CAPITALISM AND THE WEALTHY.
