@C_Holler da es verschiedene Netzpolitik-Accounts auf mehreren Instanzen gibt: anscheinand ja. Wie bei E-Mails eben.
The #lastToot was not joking: here we go: https://octodon.social/media/3JKR1kdZq3JoNDtXSPE
🐙 and 🦑 can edit and direct their own brain genes.
The revolution may not be televised, but since arab spring was twittered, could the coming insurrection be tooted? (and would that be a good thing? Feels pretty vanguardist here atm and the arab spring in retrospect is a pretty sad story)
@fasel i understand french: they are french devs and sec-folks 😉
@Samizdata Karl Marx in his critique of the gotha program has a nice oneliner: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."
@Samizdata @Magnapinna what we need is a postdoc to convince their distracted PI that their lab group really needs its own instance...
It is now the best time of the year for german foodies: Spargelzeit! Asparagus Time.
You either hate it or love it and since i do love it, i just made the classic: Asparagus with sauce hollandaise, ham and potatoes 😋
So, according to this graph :point_right: https://kumu.io/wakest/fediverse Mastodon is also somehow connected with Diaspora. But can I as a Mastodon-User talk to diaspora-Users? Are there still some left?
@tremendum it will be quite hard to find the community sweet spot between "not everybody like on facebook" and "not nobody like on diaspora"
@Cocoron @broketech as much as i like your point, wasn't Rosa Luxemburg from Poland and active in germany?
@Magnapinna Mastodon talks with many other instances, some which predate Mastodon. @wakest has a cool map going here:

@Magnapinna
So in that case all that is missing, is an automated feature that will announce that you are migrating to a different account X on server Y in future.
You can already do the announcement, what isn't there yet is that other people will automatically follow your new identity.
That being said, i really like it here. But there is a lot more to do, than tell your friends about it. Let's get going Tooters of the Fediverse!
But even if stable and trustworthy instances start to appear, we still cant really migrate our accounts to them. We have to abandon the ones we use now and start new, only with imported followings. I fear many users will be lost in that process, because it's not convenient for people used to simple one click solutions like facebook or google.
@Magnapinna I read 'unicorn' at the end. But that could work too.
